First, you need to get the Kavat Incubator Upgrade Segment. You can get it from doing missions on Deimos or from the market. Then, collect Kavat Genetic Code by scanning wild Kavats on Deimos. Once you've got enough codes, head to your Incubator and start the incubation process. Wait a bit, and BOOM! You’ve got yourself a Kavat!
Honestly, just get a dog. I've spent hours trying to get a Kavat and it was more trouble than it's worth. Kubrows are easier.
Skip the grind and trade with other players! Sometimes you'll find generous Tenno willing to trade Kavat Genetic Codes or even a pre-formed Kavat. Gotta love that Warframe community spirit.
In my experience, patience is key. Scanning wild Kavats can be a pain, but once you get the feel of it, it goes faster. Plus, the satisfaction when you finally get your furry friend is unmatched!
