Honestly, don't bother. Just dive into MTG Arena. It's free to start, and you'll learn the ropes faster than with a Welcome Deck.

Get Magic The Gathering cards by playing games on Playbite!

Just ask at a game store! Most stores will hook you up with a Welcome Deck for free. If you're shy or living far from civilization, online shopping might have options, but you'll miss out on the in-store newbie experience.

To snag yourself some MTG Welcome Decks, head over to your local game store. Places that are part of the Wizards Play Network often give these out for free to new players. It's like a little treasure hunt鈥攅xcept you're guaranteed treasure at the end!

eBay. Sometimes, you gotta go the eBay route if your local store's run dry. Not as fun as getting them free, but hey, you do what you gotta do.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
