Pretty sure you're blocked when you can't find their posts or their profile in search anymore.
Try searching their username from another account. If it shows up there but not on yours, consider yourself blocked.
Blocked accounts won't appear in searches and you won't be able to tag them. Also, their old comments on your posts might vanish.
If you can't find the person's profile, see their posts, or send them messages, it's a solid sign you've been blocked. Sorry!
