Click on your profile, then 'Followers.' Find the follower you wanna remove, tap the three dots next to their name, and select 'Remove.' Bam, they're gone!
I recommend blocking them. It removes them from your followers and also prevents them from seeing your profile.
Just did this last week! Head to your profile, tap 'Followers,' find the person, and click 'Remove.' Done and done!
