As someone who has deleted tons of comments (no judgment!), just tap the comment, then hold down until the options pop up, and hit 'Delete.'
Use the 'Delete' option from the three dots menu, or if you're on mobile, swipe left on the comment!
Deleting comments is overrated. Just hide it from the three dots menu. Less drama, same result.
