You need to go into Settings, then Your Facebook Information, then click on Deactivation and Deletion. Confirm you want to delete and poof, you're gone!
In your settings, head over to Deactivation and Deletion under 'Your Facebook Information'. Select delete and kiss your FB goodbye. Done it myself!
