If you didn't back up your chat history, there's really no way to recover deleted messages. Sorry, folks!
I restored my messages by reinstalling WhatsApp and choosing 'Restore' when prompted. Just make sure your phone's connected to the internet.
Your best bet is to enable daily backups in WhatsApp Settings > Chats > Chat backup. Future you will thank you!
