Just head to the event or group you want to invite people to, click 'Invite', select your friends, and hit 'Send Invites'! Easy peasy!
From my experience, you just need to navigate to the group or event, find the 'Invite' button, select your buddies, and hit 'Send Invites'. Cheers!
