How do I set up a Pokemon TCG game?
TrainingHost·7 months agoSetting up a Pokemon TCG game is super easy and a ton of fun! First, each player needs a deck of 60 Pokemon cards. You can mix different types of cards (Pokemon, Trainer, and Energy cards) but make sure you have a good balance. Start by placing your deck to the side and draw 7 cards to form your hand. Look for a Basic Pokemon in your hand and place it face down as your Active Pokemon; you can also place up to 5 Basic Pokemon on your Bench. Flip a coin to see who goes first, and you're ready to start the battle! Don't forget to decide on the win condition, typically the first player to take all their Prize cards.

Just grab a deck and some friends! Seriously, all you need is a 60-card Pokemon deck each. Make sure there's a mix of Pokemon, Energy, and Trainer cards. Draw 7 cards to start, put a Basic Pokemon in the 'Active' spot, and up to 5 more on the 'Bench.' Flip a coin to see who kicks off the game. First player to snag all their Prize cards wins. Easy peasy!
