In your Facebook settings, under 'Notifications', you can customize which emails you receive. I've done it myself, works great!
Go to Facebook settings -> Notifications -> Email. Turn off the ones you don't want. Done!
You can click on any email from Facebook and hit 'Unsubscribe' at the bottom. It's fast and efficient!
