Telling old MTG cards apart is actually pretty fun! Look at the bottom of the card. Older cards usually have a more dated-looking font and sometimes lack the expansion set symbol. The color of the card border can also be a giveaway; older cards have a more solid black border compared to the newer ones. And don't forget about the card stock feel! Older cards feel a bit different when you shuffle them.

Quick tip: Check the copyright date near the bottom! It's a dead giveaway for the card's age.

Honestly, just Google the card name. There鈥檚 so much info online that you can easily find out which set it comes from and how old it is.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
