You can deactivate your Facebook account temporarily. Just go to Settings & Privacy > Settings > Your Facebook Information > Deactivation and Deletion. Choose 'Deactivate Account' and follow the steps!

If you just want a break, deactivating your account is the way to go! Go to Settings, find the 'Your Facebook Information' section, and choose 'Deactivate Account'. You'll be back whenever you log in again!
I've done this! Head to Settings, then 'Your Facebook Information' section. Select 'Deactivation and Deletion', choose 'Deactivate Account', and follow the instructions. It's easy peasy.
Settings > Deactivate account. Done.
