I use PayPal in stores all the time. Open the app, tap 'Scan/Pay', and let the cashier scan the QR code. Done and done!
Do yourself a favor and link your PayPal to Google Pay or Apple Wallet. Makes in-store payments super easy and you get to look tech-savvy while doing it!
Some stores let you link your PayPal account to their payment system directly. Check under their payment options online or ask a cashier.
