Been there, done that: Went to a local MTG tourney, saw someone turbo charge their Planeswalker's loyalty through various spells and abilities. It was like watching a ticking time bomb. They unleashed a game-winning move once they amassed enough counters. So yeah, those loyalty counters? Absolute game changers.

Hot take: Loyalty counters are just another resource to manage, but they're what make Planeswalkers super unique. Use 'em wisely or lose 'em!

Loyalty counters in MTG are what make Planeswalkers tick. You start by playing the Planeswalker card, and it comes into play with a number of loyalty counters on it, usually listed at the bottom. You can use the abilities of your Planeswalker by adding or removing these counters. Some abilities add more counters (making your Planeswalker more loyal/stronger), and some remove them to unleash some epic effects. Just remember, if your Planeswalker hits zero counters, it's bye-bye to them!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
