How do MTG Grand Prix work?
CorrectingGait路7 months agoGrand Prix? Just think of them as the ultimate MTG marathon! You play a gazillion games, hopefully don't lose too much, and if the stars align, you make it to day 2. Oh, and bring snacks.

MTG Grand Prix are big, weekend-long tournaments that attract players of all skill levels from around the globe. They start with a couple of days of 'Swiss' rounds where you play a bunch of games without getting knocked out. Your performance here determines if you make it to the final day. The best players after the Swiss rounds enter a single-elimination playoff to battle for the top spot. Prizes, prestige, and Pro Points are up for grabs. Plus, it's a great place to meet the community, trade cards, and attend side events!
Honestly, unless you're aiming for the Pro Tour or just love the game to bits, Grand Prix can be a grueling experience. It's fun, but the competition is intense.
