In MTG, spells resolve in a last-in, first-out (LIFO) order. This is like stacking your lunch tray; the last thing you put on (your spell) is the first thing you take off (resolve). Players can respond to spells by casting their own, which goes on top of the 'stack'. No more spells or abilities can be added once both players pass in succession. Then, the stack starts resolving from the top down.

Short and sweet: spells resolve top to bottom, like flipping a stack of pancakes. You cast it, they counter, their counter resolves first if no more responses.

As a long-time MTG player, gotta say, watching a complicated stack resolve is the best part of the game. The key is remembering it's always the last spell or ability added to the stack that resolves first. It makes for some intense strategy, especially when you're trying to outthink your opponent in a tight match.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
