Oh, the magical world of MTG turn phases, where strategy meets timing! There are five main phases in a turn: Beginning, First Main, Combat, Second Main, and Ending. The Beginning phase kicks things off with the Untap, Upkeep, and Draw steps. First Main is your chance to play lands and cast spells. Combat gets your creatures swinging. Second Main, like First Main, but after the dust settles. And the Ending phase wraps it all up with Cleanup. Master these, and you're on your way to becoming a wizard!

Simple version: Untap, Upkeep, Draw, Main 1, Combat, Main 2, End. Play lands and spells before and after you attack. That's it.

Actually, it's all about knowing when to play your cards. You don't need to memorize phases if you understand your deck and your opponent.

Phases? More like different stages of grief as I watch my meticulously planned turn fall apart. But seriously, understanding them is key to winning.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
