Assign folks to your outpost by building the crew station and then using the ship menu to reassign them. You're the boss!
I set up my outpost just last week! After building a crew station, I just popped open the ship menu and reassigned my favorite crew member to bask in the alien sunset!
To assign someone to an outpost in Starfield, you need to build a crew station at your outpost first. Then, access your ship menu, select the crew member you want, and assign them directly to the outpost. Easy peasy!
