It's super easy! Just open your inventory, select the weapon you want to assign, and look for the option to add it to a group or shortcut, usually labeled 'Favorites.' Use the designated button to map it to a specific slot, and you're good to go!
Just forget about groups, go Rambo-style and use whatever weapon you grab first!
Pro tip: I found it smooth to use the quick-access menu for assigning my weapons, just pop 'em in your preferred group slot and blast off!
