Been there, done that. Tried to change my account name after an unfortunate choice but nope, Steam doesn't let you. You CAN change your profile name though. That's the name everyone sees, so it's almost as good.

You can't actually change your account name on Steam, that's the one thing stuck with you forever, like a tattoo from your teenage years. BUT, you can change your profile name anytime you want. Just hit up your profile, click on 'Edit Profile' on the right side, and there you'll see the option to change your profile name. This is what people see, so feel free to be as wild or as tame as you like.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
