You need to sign in to your Microsoft account, navigate to 'Your Info', and select 'Manage how you sign in to Microsoft'. From there, you can add a new email address and make it your primary. Easy-peasy!
Log into your Microsoft account and add a new alias. Once added, set it as your primary alias, and you're all set.
Just go into your Microsoft account settings and change the primary alias. Took me 2 minutes, no joke.
Changing it is a hassle, but you gotta go to your account settings and add a new primary email.
