It's pretty simple! Just go to Settings & Privacy > Settings > Your Facebook Information > Deactivation and Deletion, then follow the steps to close your account.
Just deactivate it if you're not sure about completely deleting it! Go to Settings > Your Facebook Information > Deactivating and Deleting. Trust me, I've done it a few times.
