How do you connect a controller to the Xbox 360?

Turn on your Xbox 360. Press the Guide button on your controller to turn it on. Hit the sync button on the console, then hold the sync button on your controller. Wait for the lights to stabilize.
First, make sure your Xbox 360 is powered on. Then, press the Guide button on the controller to turn it on. Press the sync button on the front of your Xbox 360 console and then press and hold the sync button on the controller until the lights stop flashing. Voil脿, you're connected!
From my experience, it's super easy. Just make sure both Xbox and controller are on, press the sync buttons, and you're good to go.
