Honestly, I never bother with Bluetooth. Just plug it into the controller's port. Easy and reliable.

Easy peasy! Just plug your headphones into the 3.5mm jack on your Xbox One controller. If your controller doesn’t have a jack, you’ll need a Stereo Headset Adapter.
