If you have an original Xbox One, just plug the Kinect directly into the Kinect port on the back of the console. If you have an Xbox One S or Xbox One X, you'll need a Kinect adapter. Plug the adapter into a USB port on the console, and connect the Kinect to the adapter. Easy peasy!

Got an Xbox One S or X? You need a Kinect adapter. Sadly, Microsoft doesn't sell them anymore, so you might need to hunt for a used one online. Otherwise, just plug the Kinect into the port on the original Xbox One.
