Honestly, just uninstall Steam if you don't wanna use it anymore. Deleting your account wipes out your games and stuff. Not worth it IMO.
Made the mistake of deleting mine once. Thought I was done with gaming. Biggest regret. Remember, it's permanent. All your games and achievements? Poof. Gone.
