Just leave the group chat. It's the simplest way!
To delete a group chat on Facebook, just go to the chat, click on the gear icon, and select 'Leave Group'. This will remove you from the chat, and it will disappear from your list!
I've done this before! Leaving the group chat is the way to go. Open the chat, click the options, and then hit 'Leave Group'.
