Actually, you can't directly download Steam like on other platforms coz Chromebooks run ChromeOS, which isn't natively compatible with Steam. But, if you are feeling adventurous, switch your Chromebook to developer mode and install Crouton to run a Linux distro side by side. Then, install Steam on Linux. It's a bit of a hack, but where there's a will, there's a way!

Downloading Steam on a Chromebook isn't as straightforward as on Windows or Mac, but it's totally possible with a bit of technical maneuvering!
