Drifting in GTA 5 is all about mastering your speed and steering. First, pick a car that's good for drifting, like the Banshee or Futo. While driving, accelerate and then hit the handbrake (R1 for PlayStation, RB for Xbox, and Spacebar for PC) while turning the car in the direction you want to drift. Don't forget to counter-steer once you're in the drift to keep control of the car. Practice makes perfect, so find a nice open parking lot to sharpen those skills!

Just smash that handbrake and steer, my dude. It's not rocket science. Pick a car that feels right, go fast, rip the handbrake, and enjoy the slide.

Honestly, drifting in GTA 5 isn't worth the hassle. Just focus on the missions and making money. The driving mechanics aren't really designed for realistic drifting, IMO.
