Fishing is overrated. Stick to farming if you want real progress.
First, craft a fishing rod at your workbench. Then, find a body of water, and cast your line by clicking or tapping. Wait for a fish to bite and then click/tap again to reel it in. Easy-peasy!
Make a fishing rod, go to water, click to cast, click again when fish bites. You're now a fisherman!
