My PS4 was acting up until I rebuilt the database. Start in Safe Mode by holding the power button for 7 seconds, then select 'Rebuild Database.' It worked wonders!

First things first, try turning it off and on again. Seriously, it fixes more than you'd think! Unplug the power cable, wait 30 seconds, and plug it back in.

Sometimes it's just a bad HDMI connection. Check the HDMI cable and port for any damage. If needed, try another cable.

If your PS4 is overheating, make sure it's well-ventilated and not stuffed in a tight space. You can also clean the dust out with compressed air.

Could be a software issue. Boot into Safe Mode and select 'Update System Software.' Make sure you have a stable internet connection.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
