You can't actually use Yoshi in Super Mario Maker on the 3DS. *sigh* Only the Wii U and Switch versions let you ride the friendly dino.

Unfortunately, Yoshi isn't available in the 3DS version of Super Mario Maker. Stick to the Wii U or Switch for your dino fix!
