Just go to the character select screen, and you should see an option to enter a seed. Easy-peasy!
You can't input codes once a game has started; it has to be done at the character select screen.
On the main menu, there's an option called 'Input Seed.' Click it before starting a run, enter your code, and boom鈥攜ou're good to go!
