How do you know if Pokemon cards are first edition?
First edition Pokémon cards have a specific symbol on them - it looks like a little circle with 'Edition 1' printed inside, located at the bottom left corner of the artwork. If you see that, you've got a first edition on your hands! Plus, the card quality feels a bit different, kind of nostalgic if you ask me.

Honestly, it's all about the symbol. No symbol, no first edition. Simple as that. Trust me, I've been collecting since the 90s and made that rookie mistake more than once.
