How do you know if Pokemon cards are fake?

Easiest way? Compare it with a card you know is real. Most of the time, fake cards just feel cheaper, lighter, and the printing quality is way off. If the card feels too glossy or too flimsy, it’s probably not the real deal.

Spotting fake Pokemon cards can be an art! Check the card texture first: real cards have a unique texture, especially the rare ones. The coloring can be a giveaway too; fakes often have dull or off colors. Don’t forget to look at the borders — real cards have clean, even borders. Lastly, the font is a big clue. If it looks weird or different from your other cards, you might have a fake on your hands.

Just weigh them! Real Pokemon cards have a specific weight to them. Fakes often weigh less cuz they're made with cheaper materials.

Honestly, who cares if they're fake as long as you're having fun? Not everyone can afford the real deal.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
