Honestly, just use the controller's quick menu. Way simpler.
Or ya know, just hold the power button on the console itself until you hear a beep. It'll go into rest mode automatically after that.
From personal experience, the power button on the console is the quickest way to get it into rest mode. Just hold it for a second until you hear that beep!
