Got to Nintendo eShop, find 'Super Smash Ultimate' under your purchased games, and choose to register it from there!

If you bought the physical copy, insert the cartridge, wait for the game to appear on your home menu, and register it from there!

I've registered mine by simply going into 'Settings' on the Switch, then 'Data Management', and finding the game to register.
