I've had to do this a dozen times: Hold down the reset button on the back with a pin, reconnect with USB, and you're good to game again!

Easy peasy! Just use a paperclip or something similar to press the small reset button on the back of your DS4 controller for about 5 seconds. Then, reconnect it to your PS4 with a USB cable and voila!
