You used to be able to see what people liked on Instagram through the 'Following' tab, but they sadly removed that feature in 2019. Now, the best you can do is follow their activity closely or use some third-party apps, but be careful with those!

Check their posts and see if they've liked their friends’ pics! Also, their comments might give you a hint about their likes.
Honestly, you can't do that anymore. Instagram took that feature down a while back.
I tried stalking my friend’s likes too! Just go through their followers and see what they're engaging with—it’s a bit time-consuming but works!
