From my experience, it's pretty straightforward: Open Messenger, start a chat, tap the '+' icon, hit the '$' symbol, enter the amount, and tap Pay. Your friend will get the money instantly. Happy sending!

Facebook? Not my first choice for sending money. I'd rather use a dedicated app like Venmo.
