Setting up a gym isn't something players can do. You can only claim and interact with the gyms that are already on the map.

Quick tip: No setting up gyms, just look for one nearby and either conquer it or defend it!

I thought you could set up gyms at first too! But nope, you just find one and either take it over or help defend it.

You can't technically 'set up' a gym in Pokemon GO. Instead, find an existing gym and interact with it. Join a team (Mystic, Valor, or Instinct) and place your Pokemon there to defend it!

If you're a Pokemon GO! player looking for extra PokeCoins or other power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in Pokemon GO! essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
