From experience, you just go to the PSN section on the main menu, hit 'Sign In', and input your login details. If you don't have an account, there's an option to create one right there too!

Easy peasy! Just head to the 'PlayStation Network' tab in the XMB menu, select 'Sign In', and enter your email and password. Boom, you're in!
