Just flip that card over and look for the drop shadow on the right side of the image box. If it's missing, congrats, you've got a shadowless card. Easiest way to tell, hands down.

Shadowless Pokemon cards are easy to spot once you know what to look for! The biggest giveaway is the 'shadow'. On a shadowless card, you won't see the usual shadow to the right of the image box that's present on most cards. Also, the colors on a shadowless card might look brighter, and the font on the bottom might be thinner compared to latter editions. Don't forget to check the date too; if it's from 1999, there's a good chance it could be shadowless!

Honestly, most people make too big a deal out of this. If it's old and looks kinda different from the newer ones, it's probably shadowless. Not that complicated.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
