Just flip the card. Star = Rare. No star = No party.

Telling the rarity of a Pokemon card is actually pretty easy once you know where to look! Check out the bottom right corner of the card. You'll see a small symbol there - a circle means it's common, a diamond stands for uncommon, and a star suggests it's rare. If you see a star with an “H” or three stars, you've landed yourself a super-rare card! Also, keep an eye out for unique symbols like prism shapes or letters like “EX” or “GX” for special rare cards.

Honestly, it’s all in the symbols, but don’t forget about card texture! Some of the ultra-rare cards have a distinct feel to them because of the holographic or textured finishes. Once got a card so rare it felt like winning the lottery, just by touching it.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
