Just click on the bait then on the rod. Simple as that. Don't overthink it, mate.

Ah, the art of baiting in Stardew Valley on the Switch! First up, make sure you've got yourself a fishing pole that can actually use bait (like the Fiberglass Rod or the Iridium Rod, since the basic Bamboo Pole won鈥檛 cut it). Open your inventory, pick up the bait (left-click or press A if you're using a controller), and then with the bait cursor, click on the rod (or press X on the switch controller). Voila! Your rod is now baited and ready to catch some fish more efficiently than ever before. Happy fishing!

Actually, using bait isn't as big of a game-changer as you'd think. It does speed things up a bit, but if you're good at fishing, you can still catch plenty without it. Focus on the skill!

If you're a Stardew Valley player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
