How does a bug delete the entire Fallout 76 beta?
QuestioningVale路7 months agoOh man, the infamous Wipeout Bug of the Fallout 76 beta! Basically, there was a nasty glitch in the launcher that mistook clicking any button for a command to delete the entire beta download. Imagine getting ready to explore the wasteland, you hit a button, and poof - back to the digital Stone Age you go.

Rumor has it that if you chant 'Country roads, take me home' at your screen, the deleted beta files will magically reappear. Disclaimer: Results may vary.
It didn't 'delete' the beta per se, more like it catapulted it into the shadow realm. A launcher glitch misinterpreted user actions, thinking 'I shall erase myself' was the order of the day. Quite the oopsie.
All I'm sayin' is, my download vanished faster than my enthusiasm for my ex's cooking. The launcher bug was real, and it did not discriminate.
Wasn't a bug, it was a feature. Just the most immersive 'start from scratch' experience you'll ever get in gaming history.
