Matchmaking in Warframe is based on your current Mission and Region. The game tries to pair you with other Tenno doing the same mission at similar levels. If everyone agrees to stay together, you continue as a team to the next mission!
Warframe uses regional matchmaking, so you might end up with players from your area for better connection quality. Of course, you can always invite friends directly for a more coordinated experience.
From personal experience, matchmaking in Warframe is fairly seamless. When selecting a mission, the game will automatically search for other players who are also looking to complete that same mission. If it finds any, you get teamed up; if not, you go solo or with anyone who joins in progress.
It鈥檚 pretty simple: pick a mission, and Warframe finds other players doing the same mission. If the matchmaking gods smile upon you, you'll end up with a squad full of pros.
