Quick and simple: you take a stat you like from gear you don't want, and move it to gear you do want. Boom, optimized gear!
I've recalibrated my gear dozens of times! Just head to the Recalibration Station, choose the stat you want to transfer, and pay with Credits. Happy hunting!
You basically swap the attributes or talents from one item to another. Costs Credits but totally worth it for perfecting your build!
