Just go to the Steam Deck page, sign in, pay the reservation fee, and wait for Valve's email when it's time to buy. Took me about 3 months for mine to be ready!

You reserve a Steam Deck by logging into your Steam account and paying a small deposit. Valve will notify you when it's your turn to purchase and complete the order. Easy peasy!
