How does Steam game sharing work?
JokingTunic路7 months agoSteam game sharing pretty much lets you share your game library with friends or family! You gotta enable Steam Guard on your Steam account first, then you can authorize another computer to access and play games from your library. The catch? Only one person can play a title at a time - if the game owner decides to play, the borrower gets kicked off after a few minutes notice.

Just wanted to add that while game sharing sounds super cool, not all games are shareable. Some games, especially those with third-party DRM or subscription-based services, might not be eligible for sharing. So, always double-check before you promise your buddy they can play that new AAA title from your library.
It's a bit overhyped, honestly. Sure, you can share games, but with so many restrictions like one-at-a-time play and some games not being shareable, it feels pretty limited.
From personal experience, Steam game sharing is a lifesaver for family gaming! Set it up for my little brother's computer, and it's been great. He gets to play the games I own without buying them himself. Just remember, if you're playing a game, they can't play yours at the same time - but it's still a fantastic feature!
